Nominated for: BEST Museum
Wharton Esherick Museum is a National Historic Landmark for Architecture, his hilltop studio/residence, with more than 200 of his works on exhibition, has been preserved much as it was when the artist lived and worked there, and is open to the public through guided tours for which reservations are required.
The entire building is a work of art - down to the barbeque tool with a handle that echoes "The Scream" (he had a sense of humor too). Once you see this place you'll never forget it.
