The Whip (www.thewhiptavern.com) is a traditional English pub located in the heart of West Marlborough horse country in Chester County. Voted Best English Pub in Philadelphia Magazine and rated “very good to excellent” by Zagat, The Whip has also earned "Best House Made Dessert" from MainLine Today, and Best Tavern / British Fare from Delaware Today. An authentic English pub atmosphere is complete with traditional English dishes from Executive Chef Wyatt Lash and rare beers from a well-researched and constantly evolving beer menu. Owned by KC Kulp and Luke A. Allen, The Whip caters to both travelers and locals. Open Wednesday through Monday from 11 am to Midnight with patio seating in mild weather. Although the Whip sells malt and beer, the Tavern is BYOB for wine and charges a small corking fee. To keep the Tavern casual, The Whip does not take reservations.
