From the turn of the century and through to the 1960s, almost every small town main street played host to a local soda fountain. Often housed in the drug store, the neighborhood soda fountain counter served as a social gathering place for people of all ages. Movie stars were discovered while sitting around them. Kids - and adults - spun round and round on the brightly colored stools. Teenagers spent countless hours sipping a malted milkshakes and feeding the jukebox while the older folks sipped their coffee and shared stories.
Our goal is to make The Pop Shop such a meeting place by combining upscale comfort food, a welcoming community-centered atmosphere, moderate prices, and warm service. Our aim is to be known as a "friendly place." The place everyone goes to after games or plays. A place for first dates and play dates. An after school hangout and senior social destination. A place you can take a date or your three-year-old on a Saturday night.
