Nominated for: BEST Sushi
Some restaurants build their reputation solely through the excellence of their food. Sagami, set on an unexceptional stretch of Route 130 and decorated with simple and none-too-stylish furnishings, is clearly one of these. But the dichotomy between Sagami's location and its delicious food is part of the restaurant's charm -- and customers feel really sushi-savvy just to know about it. Sagami qualifies as well worth the trek. Vegetable tempura and fried eggplant appetizers set the stage, carried by an attentive crew of kimono-clad waitresses. And while some will enjoy the teriyaki, steamed salmon and other finely cooked entrees, the raw offerings are the real draw here.
Fresh, straight forward, and consistently the best... for the past 11 years for me.

Isn't it Sagami? And most definitely it is in Collingswood not Mt. Ephraim.

There is NO competition. I have been coming to Sagami for 10 years... I've tried sushi at numerous places in Philadelphia and other cities, and Sagami is still the BEST.
