Pudge's was started 50 years ago and was first located across from LaSalle University. The restaurant has been in Blue Bell for over 40 years.
The name "Pudge" came from the original owner, Frank Carbone, who was nicknamed as a child after the dog in the Betty Boop comic strip. After Pudge's death in 2000, the shop was taken over by his daughter.
Pudge's has won numerous awards over the years. 2009 and 2010 My Fox Philly "Best cheesesteak" winner. 2 time 'Best of Philly' award winner. Numerous celebrities visit Pudge's and consider us their favorite cheesesteak.
Pudge's uses only the best meats. We cook our own pork "Italian style". Our lunch meats are all premium grade. Our steak meat comes from Farmland who provide the highest quality steak on the market.
You can get it any way you like it.... mayo, ketchup and pickles... YUM!!!
