Andrea Chila, formerly of Diane Von Furstenberg and BCBG Max Azria, has taken ownership of Pileggi Boutique (715 Walnut Street), founded by Philadelphia style icon Joan Pileggi. The boutique, which has been a trusted resource for Philadelphia’s most stylish women since its 1986 inception.
She looked to both coasts to find new or relatively unknown lines, many of which were already staples of her own wardrobe. LA favorites Susana Monaco, Fifteen Twenty, Tart and Fluxus will join NY imports David Lerner, Nally & Millie and Waverly Grrey, among others. Philadelphians will now also have access to lines such as Moon, Bouclier, Ra Mona La Rue and Joy Cioci, many of which were previously unavailable in the Delaware Valley.
However, Chila has not forgotten the existing Pileggi customer. She’ll continue to stock classic favorites such as Estelle and Finn, Margaret M, Samuel Dong, Ecru. In keeping with the boutique’s reputation for amazing accessories, Kara Ross, Chan Luu, MZ Wallace and George Gina and Lucy are just a few of the jewelry and handbag lines Chila will offer.
