Nominated for: BEST Museum
The Mütter Museum was founded to educate future doctors about anatomy and human medical anomalies. Today, it serves as a valuable resource for educating and enlightening the public about our medical past and telling important stories about what it means to be human. The Mütter Museum embodies The College of Physicians of Philadelphia 's mission to advance the cause of health, and uphold the ideals and heritage of medicine.
The Museum's collections include over 20,000 objects, including fluid-preserved anatomical and pathological specimens, medical instruments, anatomical and pathological models, items of memorabilia of famous scientists and physicians, and medical illustrations in the form of lantern slides, 35 mm slides, photographs, drawings, and prints.

Most unique museum of any city. More than a medical history museum, it's a look into how the development of medicine has shaped us socially. Also, some of it is totally creepy!

Creepiest, most informative place EVER. My favorite is the set of drawers full of things removed from children who ate random things.
