Voting Home / Johnny Manana's
Nominated for: BEST Mexican
This isn't your standard Mexican fare. The emphasis is on sauces made with carrots, corn, chiles and much more. The lunch and dinner menu items are reasonably priced, with the most expensive entree priced at $22. The specials change every 5-7 days. Johnny Manana's seats about 55 and has an outdoor area that accommodates another 15 or so diners.
The decor incorporates Mexican motifs and plenty of color. That tough hombre on the poster is Pancho Villa. Try the shrimp cocktail ($10) with onion, tomato and avocado. For an entree, go with the Half Chicken Mole ($12), which is marinated and roasted with a mild chile chocolate nut sauce and served with rice and beans.
