In 1991, with not much more than the shirts on our back, we started Jake's Hamburgers in Newark, Delaware with a single store. Our purpose was simple: to provide the public with the best hamburgers money can buy…bar none. Ten years and several stores later, we became recognized as the best burger and best milkshake in the entire state of Delaware.

I like Jake's, but really the Charcoal Pit should be on this list. Why is Wilmington excluded? It's closer to Philadelphia than most of the Chester County places!
