We are the Dark Horse Pub, a Society Hill restaurant and bar that pulls double duty as an old-fashioned watering hole and a great dining destination in Philadelphia. On any given night you might find a group of guests playing darts while feasting on a cowboy-cut ribeye steak in gorgonzola cream sauce, a candle-lit table for two that's overflowing with Dark Horse burgers and fries, or a bar full of rugby fans waiting for our popular chicken and mushroom pie.
We have been located in the former Dickens Inn space since 2001. Our Belfast-born owners, James Stephens and Paul McCloskey, took their inspiration from back home to re-create our two-story townhouse with a classic pub atmosphere accented by dark wood and vintage beer ads and a matching menu that goes beyond just traditional fish and chips.
We are also THE place to watch all of the EPL football games (that's "soccer" for all of you Americans).
