Chickie's Italian Deli has been owned and operated by Henry George since 1993. He named the deli after his mother, who passed away shortly before opening. Henry takes great pride in his product and his work through hands on management and incorporating Chickie's Calabrese recipes. In doing so he is able to offer top quality at affordable prices. All sandwiches are hand sliced to order to the customers' specifications. The result has been many awards along with national television recognition and international magazine recognition.

Home-made soups, sandwiches and Italian specialties that would make your Aunt Rita jealous. The people that run the place are great and you can eat there without a bank officer in tow to handle financing! Get there during the week because the weekend hours are limited. If standing in the lines at Pats or Genos isnt your thing this would be a great place to take out of towners to experience a bit of REAL South Philly cuisine.
