Since the 1970's Old City Philadelphia has been the best of what Philly has to offer, and National Mechanics, a Philly born and bred bar and restaurant, is up to the challenge.
The building itself, formerly the premiere underground club “Revival”, is a beautiful Greek Revival building which first housed the National Mechanics bank and later the Norwegian Seamen's Church. The architect was acclaimed U.S. architect William Strickland whose notable achievements are the Tennessee Capitol Building and St. Steven's Church in Philadelphia.
