DJ Perry Angelozzi

Epitomizing the Philadelphia Dance Sound, Perry started spinning records at the age of 12 looking up to mentors such as Charlie Buckeye and Jellybean Benitez. He landed his first job at the age of 13 at the legendary nightclub The Chez in Atlantic City and has not stopped moving dance floors since that time. His passion for music began many years ago.

Perry’s started in the music scene throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York and created excitement and a style that has never been duplicated. He broke ground with 91.7 WPWT as the first DJ to play dance on the radio. He developed into the music director for the station and had a 10-year tenor which impacted the Philadelphia dance scene to this day. Perry went on to become one of the hottest DJ’s in the city and held the vibe and excitement key for clubs such as Egypt, The Eighth Floor, Ricochet, CROBAR, Envy, Shampoo, Casbah, Mint and many others. Radio stations such as Q102 (live mix jock for three years), MY106.1 and 91.7 WPWT. He has been producer, writer and mixer in the studio for numerous songs and has organized and directed events and worked with well-known artists including the Black Eyed Peas, Sting, the Beastie Boys and the Sugar Hill Gang. He also was the director for Playboy’s 50th Anniversary Tour. He has evolved as an artist and remains a driving force in the music and nightclub scene today.
